Route copied from Jesse Norman MP
"For the historians amongst you, why not take a detour to visit Snodhill Castle, first built in c 1130, with its recently-renovated motte and earthworks and stone ruins dating from the 13th and 14th centuries. If you are feeling a little more adventurous, you could venture up Dorstone Hill (25% so not for the faint-hearted!) to visit Arthur’s Stone, a Neolithic chambered tomb, or Dolmen, dating from 3,700 BC – 2,700 BC. Some tales suggest the tomb was built to mark the location of one of King Arthur's battles, while others tell that the stones were already present when Arthur slew a giant on the spot, who fell onto the stones and left indentations in one of them, which remain to this day. "

Route is ok, but not a favourite. This is because a) the roads are busier than the country lanes of my favourite routes, b) the traffic is faster because there are few alternative routes around here and c) there are no attractive villages as there are too few people to make a village.
I ought to add some good news ... 1) the route itself is rather flat and 2) it's a great area for tractor spotters ...
Works perfectly on audio with Bike Tracker and Track Navigator - see https://www.plotaroute.com/posts/2195/D/1

CALCULATE CALORIES

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
