hele mooie maar tevens erg pittige tocht. 2x een dalpunt. start met 400->900 en in het midden komt een dal oversteek van 900->500->1200. De pieken en dalen zullen de toch erg mooi maken. We komen op het eind langs een leuk chateau.

De tocht kan op 1 punt worden ingekort (van "15" naar "30") met zo'n 13 km. Hierdoor gaat bovendien het dalpunt 900->500->1200 eruit . Dit maakt de route veel beter te doen, en vlakker (op hoogte). Helaas mis je bij het inkorten wel de mooie top van 1200.


conclusie: pittige tocht, bij inkorten beter te doen met verlies van mooie kam en top.

de hoogste berg is de Brezouard, een van de hoogste toppen van de vogezen

...De noordelijkste bergtop van de Hoge Vogezen is de 1229 meter hoge Grand Brézouard. Ruim vierhonderd meter verderop vind je z’n iets kleinere broer, de ‘Petit Brézouard’ die een hoogte van 1203 meter haalt. Twee toppen met granietrotsen en naaldwouden, die nog steeds de littekens van de legendarische storm ‘Lothar’ uit 1998 dragen. De Brézouard is een prettige berg om te doen. Alleen al omdat de Brézouard ver van de toeristisch druk bezochte Vogezen-toppen ligt, zoals de Hohneck, de Markstein of de Grand Ballon. De GR5 gaat over de top, maar ook andere routes wijzen je de weg door majestueuze sparrenbossen en ‘chaumes’....
