Evangeline Walks 2024
Over the past 2 years Evangeline has raised $18,000 for Covenant House Toronto and she's committing to doing it again this year. This is not an organized fundraiser, this is just a little girl walking really far to try and make a difference for at risk youth.
What does she do?
Over a 3.5 day period, on Thanksgiving Weekend, she will walk from her Grandparents home in Binbrook (just past Hamilton) all the way to our home in Toronto. The first year she did 91km, the second year she did 100km, through rain and wind, from start to finish! She will be doing another 100km again this year!
Her why?
Since she was a young child, she has been passionate about supporting the unhoused! This could be giving spare change, buying items at the grocery store, giving bags with warm socks, fruit, snacks and personal notes or helping her mom with her fundraisers. She loves how Covenant House Toronto helps to protect and rebuild lives, giving youth opportunities she knows she has.
Who is Covenant House Toronto?
Covenant House is the largest agency in Canada serving youth who are homeless, trafficked or at risk. Covenant House is inclusive, intentional and impactful. This amazing organization helps meet the emerging needs of our youth with a comprehensive youth-driven programming centered on unconditional love, absolute respect and relentless engagement.
Together, let's watch this fierce little girl change the world.

About the Calorie Calculator
Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.
When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.
