    Start from the Market Street Car Park.
    Pass through the town square in front of the town hall and then through the Abbey Gate square, passed the back of the Cathedral to the City Walls.
    Turn right and walk along the walls to the Eastgate clock, then exit, turning left and then first right onto St John Street.
    At the end of this Street, walk through the Roman Gardens to the River and take a right.
    Cross over the River on the Old Dee Bridge and then cut through the childrens play area to see the Minerva Shrine.
    Come back on yourself to the river, turning right before the bridge and walking along the footpath by the river.
    Walk over the suspension bridge this time to the other side of the river. Continue up into the Grosvenor Gardens and walk around the St John ruins, Chester's original Cathedral.
    Then continue around to the church and pass through the Amipithetre.
    Walk under the walls and through the eateries to the traffic lights, then take a right up through Upper Bridge Street, past the Medievil rows to the Cross.
    Continue straight through the Roman staggared crossroads and up to the town square again.
