Walk Route 1

We will start to meet in the town centre of Bishop Auckland half an hour before the walk time, just outside of No. 42/ Bishop Auckland Library/ Sports Direct. I, the walk host, Tara, will be there in fancy dress holding a Papyrus flag and water bottle, and wearing my Papyrus hopewalk host lanyard. There we can introduce ourselves, put on name stickers if you would like to, take photo's and have a small break before we start the walk at 11AM. There are many shops to buy refreshments, and there are standard and disabled toilets inside the Newgate Centre (accessed by stairs or a lift) if you would like to utilise these before or after the walk. We will be walking on the footpath, which is fully accessible for people who use wheelchairs, walking aids and push chairs. The pathway for the whole route is flat, there are no steep hills. There will be 4 green man crossings we will use, and 6 road crossings that do not have a green man or zebra crossing.

This walk is suitable for children, but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times!
I will have bottled water available for anyone who would like one.
There will be small gifts at the start with it being close to Halloween, and there will be a certificate at the end.

Each time we will meet half an hour before it starts, you can join all 3 walks if you wish. there is a longer time before the first and second walk to allow for a lunch break for myself and others joining in.
