This one is a meander, taking in all the best and interesting roads, whilst avoiding the bad bits, in order to get us to The Barn at the Hollies. Not one after rain because of the Whytegate way of course. However, there are other small lanes that also could be mucky, especially my favourite from Norley that drops us on to the Whytegate way.
Even though this was created for late Nov ride, it was After weeks of dry weather. It is a really interesting route.
The cafe venue is the fancy Hollies cafe called The Barn, which can be very busy, so there is an alternative at the Tarporley garden centre, if it’s chilly, as there is a lot of outside seating. The garden centre is only 2 mile away, on the A49 & easy to get to without riding the A49. Simply follow the route away from The Barn and turn right on Caoch lane, which takes you to the A49 and drops you directly opposite the garden centre, which has a big cafe. Have to cross the A49 diagonally to the left. Afterwards cross back over and continue on original route.

The ride for CER is 37 miles & I drop them at the cross roads in Tarporley, where they head up the high street for 2 miles back to Rose farm.

    CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
