    The route begins at the main entrance to Woodland View (WV) and follows the path alongside the car park heading to exit the site. Cross at the pedestrian crossing and follow the path through the car park at the rear of the horseshoe building, the path follows closely around the horseshoe building, cross at the pedestrian crossing over to the old porters lodge then cross the road at the main entrance across to sexual health. Head off the site and follow the path adjacent to Kilwinning Road and enter the woodland at the sign on the right. Follow the woodland path through the wood until you exit onto the shared use path to Castlepark, at this point head right towards Redburn Ward and cross the road onto the path adjacent to the rear of WV and head back round towards the main entrance to WV. This is a flat walk that should take around 30 mins at a brisk pace and 40 mins at a slower pace Please note the woodland has regular rest points and is a quiet and remote space, care should be taken at all times. The walk is approximately 1.09 miles/1.75 km/1918 yds.
