Rondeavousz at Tallarook Station to catch the 0826 train to Violet town . 0907. Get to Tallarook Station as early as apossible to set bikes up and have breakfast
Violet Town
Our arival at Violet town 0907 Ride out over the freeway to begin the 67km day to Yarck.. Zero your odometers. Here the elvation begins. @200 ASL is where we start and we ascend to 564M over 21km.
Strathbogie
We then drop into Strathbogie township @ 479 ASL 29.9km for a rest stop.
After a break we ascend to the highest point of the ride @ 612m at the 39km mark. From there its downhill to
Merton Gap @ 345 ASL 49.9km.
Another short rest at the BP. A short pinch up to 404 ASL 53.7km and then a downhill to Yark
Yarck @217 ASL 67km.

Shelter – elec BBQ, picnic table, clean
2 x power…working
Rough sort of kitchen attached to shelter; sink, taps, door…..was unlocked but padlock on it; so can’t be certain it will be open.
Nice new(ish) toilets
Yarck meat and produce open until 5pm.
Given the Doss facilities @ the rec reserve..its BYO or purchase from the produce store for tea in the shelter.
0700 rise for a 0730 departure. Save yourself for a Yea sit down cooked breakfast at a local cafe. Consider a luncheon purchase of a sandwich at Yea as there are no facilities when we hit lunchtime. After a leisurely breakfast we head west along the rail trail onwards to Tallarook. A short break at Tallarook then we backtrack the rail trail to schoolhouse lane and take the back roads to Seymour.
