Boyne Book It Fun Run 10K Route - Carman 2024

Please follow the "Green Trail Flags" for the 10K route. The Start line is at the Carman Dufferin Arena and the run proceeds South through King's Park on King's Road. Runners will cross PR 245 with the help of volunteers at the Dufferin Museum. From there, runners will enjoy a combination of trails and roads as they wind through a residential area. Water station #1 will be available as you emerge from the trail after Carman's "Steep Hill". Watch out for a brief period of 2-way runner traffic on the trail. After crossing the historic trestle bridge, the 10K route will split from the 5k route and continue East on the path. When the pathway intersects PTH 3 (Main Street S) runners will briefly divert South to the lit cross walk and the help of our amazing volunteers. Once they have safely crossed the highway, runners will return to the pathway at the Fire Hall and continue East, passing the children's soccer fields. Participants will then take a "Sunny Side" loop in another residential area. Strategically positioned volunteers will help guide you through the neighbourhood. Mind the short 2-way runner traffic as you enter and exit the loop. Volunteers will operate another lit crossing of PTH 3 near Carman Collegiate, where you will find the second water station on your run. After your rehydration break you will enjoy the cool shade of the longest portion of Carman's trail system. Finally, the course will take participants through another residential neighbourhood and on into our downtown area. Another lit crossing operated by volunteers will take runners past Memorial Hall where the 10K and 5K routes merge again. Once past the third water station at Ryall Park, runners will finish the course running parallel to Centre Avenue W on the pathway, turning left (South) onto King's Road and into the Finish Line Chute.
