    Highlights were:
    Road from Eldama Ravine to El Doret.
    Lots of climbing (this is where marathon runners do their high altitude training!) but some beautiful views & relatively peaceful riding, in terms of traffic.

    Road from Suam (Kenyan/Ugandan border - idyllic border crossing, grim border town/village) to Kapchorwa. Breathtaking views & super peaceful roads.
    Looooots of hills though & pretty terrible road, not a hint of tarmac anywhere and someplaces not much more than rock.
    Plus quite a long day for me, distance & time wise, lots of pushing bike up hills (NB i am a 43 year old, smoking, lazy cyclist carrying far too much useless rubbish).

    Ride down from Kapchorwa, past Sipi Falls towards Mbale was great - tore down that like a bat out of hell!! but, for all my moaning about the long day reaching there, I'm definitely glad I didn't do this bit in reverse. Climbing up from direction of Mbale to the Sipi Falls would probably kill me or, at the very least, reduce me to tears.
