For the past year we've been working hard on developing a roam-free companion app for Plotaroute that will provide offline navigation and recording of routes, together with brand new digital maps. These have been the most voted for Feature Requests, so thank you to everyone who voted for these for your patience. We are now approaching the point where we will soon be inviting some of our users to participate in early Beta testing of the app. It will eventually be available for both iPhones and Android devices, but its likely that we will be Beta testing the iPhone version first and hopefully following up with the Android version soon after.
If you are interested in volunteering as a Beta tester, please get in touch via our Contact Us page and let us know the following information:
Please put "Beta Testing" in the title of the message.
At this stage we are only inviting Premium members of Plotaroute to participate, so this is a requirement. Also, we are only able to involve a small number of people initially, so please don't be offended if we aren't able to include you straight away.
UPDATE (7 November 2023): We have started Beta testing with the iOS version and hope to start testing with the Android version soon. If you are a Premium memebr with an iOS device and would like to help with the Beta testing please get in touch with the details listed above.
We can't say anything further about the app at the moment, as we want to explain everything when the final verison is launched, but hopefully that's given you a flavour of what's in the pipeline!
Sweet, this is exactly what this service needed, good move!
Ooooooh, the tension ...... :)
Arnaud,
May I ask, please, what is the future of this new mobile app, now that Visorando have aquired plotaroute?
Mark
Hi Mark,
The new mobile app is almost finished. We are discussing how to release it.
Arnaud
can we get an update on the app please?
Hi,
There is no update for instance. You can use the mobile app awithout being a beta testing user.
Just install te app as recommended on this link.
Do not hesitate to share your feedback.
Kind regards
Dean was talking about the real app, I think, RoutePlot ..... see the first post, below
I tried out the mobile app and navigate mode, and it could never see my position even though on any other map program, it would show up. So not sure if I'm doing something wrong or there's a special place for me to open location services. Any advice?
