These methods are not very modern. I would like to have either a separate Connect IQ application like
Wikiloc Trails, or at least agree on a dynamicwatch so that import into their application works like other services

Some sort of connection between this and the "club page" feature that has been suggested earlier.
Fore example you could be able to tag a route both on your private page and your "club page" that would then sync with your Garmin device as per below. (you would get a lot of new members this way :-)

Another vote for an implementation of Garmin's new API here!
I currently use a combination of GPX exporting and ConnectIQ (using GPXImport/Export) via my phone. It works, but it's hardly smooth so being able to do it all smoothly would be an awesome new feature for your product.
