When I tried to log in after activating my account, it repeatedly failed.
I suspect it's because I signed up with a password containing square brackets and apostrophes. If any such characters are invalid for your authentication system, it would be better to refuse to create the account when given such a password.
Admittedly this is an untested assumption. But after resetting my password and not using these characters, everything worked OK.
You should also increase the length of the passwords - 14 characters is really rather short.
Thanks for your feedback David. We don't strip any characters from passwords so perhaps there was a typo when you entered it.
John
I'm pretty sure there was no typo. I copy-pasted it and used a password manager to store it, so no opportunity mistype it.
