I think it will get replaced, but why don't you try, and look at the elevation profile?

I have a GPX file that has some obvious drift in it from urban canyon effects. I''d like to import it to fix the route, but I'm curious abot what will happen to the elevation data in the file?

Will it get wiped out and replaced with contour elevation? I'm asking because there are a lof of bridges on the route.
