Popular Routes
Hi,
May I ask your kind help on the following 2 problems:
1) When I create a round route, I am unable to position the DIRECTION marker on both routes. I mean, if you look at the image:
You can see that route backwards, covering the route towards, hence, I can only add a DIRECTION marker on route backwards (e..g at 9.19lkm) and cant add it on route onwards (e.g. 0.789km)Could you help me please how can I add it to both directions (not at the same point of course, just to be ablet to acces both routes separately) ?
2) When downloading the route as FIT file to a Garmin Fenix, what is the difference of these to slider here:
I mean, what is teh difference between direction and turns ?Many thanks for yoru time and help in advance!
Andras,1) When I create a round route, I am unable to position the DIRECTION marker on both routes. I mean, if you look at the image:This process can be a bit clunky when you have routes on top of each other. There are solutions that come to mind:1. Select the "DIRECTION"
then Relocatethen drag the DIRECTION where you want. You may have to zoom out etc2. Use the SHIFT ROUTE featurebut it may look messy and can be difficult if not impossible to put back so they overlap exactly (if that's what you want).2) When downloading the route as FIT file to a Garmin Fenix, what is the difference of these to slider here:What does it say if you hang over the information icons?HTH,
Mark
Is there any way to just print out the route without all the extra stuff around it?
For an answer on question 2.
Garmin Fenix watches have always been lagging when giving you turn direction alerts. By using shift back, the course point is been moving back on course to give you the possibility to have the alert at the correct place.
This is done when saving course to file and do not impact the saved route at plotaroute.
Turn warnings is that plotaroute add a pre-waning course point to all your own created course points (turn direction), but for Garmin devices it is not needed, when that is added autmatically anyway. Just drag it to 0.
