Sorry there was an incorrect instruction. it seems to be an out of sequence event:

Start with a new blank map.

Plot a small course.

Pick Reshape Route.

Add a couple of anchors to route. 

Do NOT push finish button as expected - but instead press Clear (clear the map) 

- the anchors remain on the map - However they are not saved, it would seem and don't show up on the route, but do on the screenshot below

I can not reproduce the bug. How do you delete the route? Do you use the button "clear" in the bottom right-hand corner?
Before deleting the route, did you save it?

Found a bug for ya:

You can accidentally leave anchors on the route map by doing the following:

Plot a route as normal with a couple of points.

Reshape section.

Add some anchor points to the route.

Delete route. Route is deleted and dissapears, but the anchors stay where they are.

Subsequently using the clear anchors option won't get rid of the previous anchors.
