Alternatively, there are many other free apps that will record a route as tou walk/cycle/ride it (Komoot etc).

I am wondering if it possible to create a route while live GPS tracking as I ride my horse? There are new bridleway paths made in Ireland that are up on a hill, so I can't use the maps to create the route- as I can't see it. I want to be able to ride it and create the route as I ride along the path, is this possible? or some way to make way makers or GPS coordinate points so I can create the route later? Thanks.
