Hello Visorando and Plotaroute. Congradulations on the merger. I am a current customer in the US and work for a company in Upstate NY. We provide services to clients in he Northeast and Midwest. We have been searching for application very similar to yours. I would like to speak to someone about expanding the capabilities of your application for our business. Please let me know the best way I can contact you.
Thank you.
Dave.
Bonne continuation avec Visorando
Et bonne fêtes de fin d'année 😉🍰💐🥳🥂🎉
All quiet on the Visorando front ......
Please don't mess with the route planner :)Its the ONLY route planner out there that I can do Up Ahead points with my Garmin reliably and easilly. There's a great post in the forum marking out wihich custom directions map to Garmin's Up Ahead points, and I use that a lot. Connects own planner is a PITA with courses that overlap where you might want to (for example) mark an Up Ahead point on the outward and inward loop, but with PAR I now have a workflow where I can quickly create a route, add Up Ahead points and sync to my device.....Please, PLEASE dont make me go back to Connect. I'll be good, honest :)A
Thanks to all of you for your messages. It's a real pleasure to see how involved you are.
We'll keep the routeplanner as it is. All the Visorando team was very impressed with its capabilities and we know we have a treasure here.
We are still learning about Plotaroute community, administration and technical tools before announcing any improvments.
Regards,
Arnaud
Congratulations to all parties invloved! I trust that Visorando sees the USA as a great opportunity as we are also crazy about hiking and biking in the great outdoors. John has done a great job and I certainly enjoy the product on a nearly daily basis. I look forward to new and exciting features in the months to come.
Best Regards,
Scott Stocking
Please dont do anything to the route planner part of PAR. It's easily the best route planner out there, and I have found nothing close. If that is affected adversely, I'll be another voting with my feet.
Why did Plotaroute sell out to Visorando?
I have been a subscriber for a few years, my main hope is there are NO negative changes or i will vote with my feet
I'd like to send my best wishes and thanks to you, John. You created an amazing website, packed with the most useful tools and were always so responsive to the community you built up. And it was a community!
Arnaud, thank you for the introduction, and welcome. I'm pleased you have seen the disaster that was the Viewranger takeover and I'm pleased you want to avoid that at all costs!!
You will have a willing community here to help you, all the best
Colin

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your message.
I want to introduce myself here since we'll probably have more discussions with you and Plotaroute community in the near future.
My name is Arnaud and I'm the cofounder of https://www.visorando.com, a community website for creating and finding walk ideas (mainly). I began to developp this website 14 years ago as I love webdevelopping, outdoor sports and maps. With Fabien, my cofounder and the Visorando team (about 15 persons), we're proud of John's trust in our project for Plotaroute.
We are awared of what happened to Viewranger. It was really a big mess... Be ensured that Plotaroute won't disappear.
We'll come back to you in the near future with some more informations about our projects. We first need a couple of weeks to get used with Plotaroute community, administration and technical tools. John spent this week with us in France and gave us a lot of informations. He'll continue to help us during this transitionnal period.
mmmmm, I want to be oh so positive ..... but Viewranger was aquired by Outdooractive (a German company, I think) and look what happened to that great application ....
We are excited to announce that Plotaroute has been acquired by Visorando, the leading website and app for hiking in France. The acquisition will support Visorando’s expansion within English speaking countries around the world, while bringing significant experience and skills to the Plotaroute platform to aid its ongoing development.Fabien and Arnaud, the founders of Visorando said “This agreement was born from a shared desire.
