The 'X DISPLAY NO SYMBOL' button in the symbol selection dialog box appears to be broken. It takes you to an EDIT INFO AT screen instead of returning with a blank symbol.
Thanks for flagging that up Chris, we'll get that fixed.
Hi Chris - we've had a look at this and it seems to be working OK as far as we can tell. After clicking "DISPLAY NO SYMBOL" it takes you back to the "EDIT INFO AT..." panel and the symbol you previously selected is greyed out. You just need to click the CONFIRM button to apply the changes.
How strange. It's changed since yesterday but still doesn't seem to be working as expected. Now I find that the symbol is still displayed on the map after clicking CONFIRM in the EDIT INFO AT panel ... so the changes are not being applied
It's easy enough to delete the label and re-enter without a symbol, so it's no big deal.
Many thanks for the prompt response.
Hi Chris - we can't recreate this problem here. Can you explain the steps to reproduce it please as maybe we have misunderstood. We're assuming you're using the desktop sirte and have added a symbol to one of the directions, rather than via the Annotate Map tool.
Hi. Yes, I am using Plotaroute on a Windows 11 desktop platform via Firefox browser.
I've been adding / deleting / modifying symbols in directions without any problems. That seems to work perfectly.
I only spotted this issue when using the Annotate Map menu option (or Ctrl-A) -
I first add a label with a symbol and press PLACE ON MAP. This works exactly as expected.
I then click on the symbol to edit. It takes me to the ADD SYMBOLS AND LABELS ON THE MAP panel. I select the symbol within the panel which takes me to the SELECT A SYMBOL TO USE panel. In the SELECT A SYMBOL TO USE panel, I can pick a different symbol which returns me to the ADD SYMBOLS panel as expected and allows me to CONFIRM from there.I would expect the same behaviour if I chose to DISPLAY NO SYMBOL. However, for some reason this takes you to an EDIT INFO AT panel which doesn't allow you to CONFIRM or do anything.
Please let me know if you need any further clarification. Many thanks.
Got it! Thanks Chris, that was very helpful. We'll get that fixed.
We've implemented a fix for this, so it should be working OK now. Thanks again for flagging this up amd for the additional information.
Thank you very much. Problem solved!
Great, thanks for confirming Chris.
