Popular Routes
Hi Debbie,
If you plot a route with the Auto-Plot swich turned on, directions are generated automatically and saved with your route. You can then print these directions out if you like. You can also navigate the route using our web app - this will show the directions much like a satnav and will also read them out if you have the voice navigation setting turned on. As it's a web app, you will need an internet connection for this to work though, so I wouldn't recommend relying on that if you are going somewhere with a poor signal. I hope that helps.
We are a Fire Department sending Santa on a truck throughout our community (four routes over a few nights), We have a map showing start and end points, and a route planned, but as we don't have actual stops anywhere, I'm trying to get a set of directions so that we don't need a "map reader" in the truck trying to see in the dark where to turn next. I tried uploading an EPS file but it just plops the "picture" of the route on a map and I don't know where to go from there.
Will plotaroute be able to do what I need and does anyone know how?
Or will I need to go step by step on each route finding addresses to plug in just to get the directions to be right?
We've published the route we are going to take so we really have to stick to that so our residents know where to go.
Thanks!
