I also had the same ask and ended up working around this by building out a Chrome Extension.  The extension adds support for OS Grid Refs, copy-paste of coordinates to clipboard and unsaved changes warnings.

Just to add a bit of clarification to what is being as for - an option so that a user can choose to view OS Grid Ref coordinates (which are very commonly used in the UK) instead of just having GPS lat/long coordinates
