Hi Tim, thanks for your feedback and support as a Premium member.

I think the solution to the first point is really just to avoid using the right mouse button - you can pan the map by using the left mouse button, so there isn't really any need to use the right button, unless I've misunderstood the issue.

The second point sounds like a possible bug but I can't reproduce the issue here. Can you describe the steps to reproduce the problem and let us know what browser and device you are using?

tldr; I'm just complaining - don't mind me.

I've used Plotaroute as a premium member for the last 3 years but recently some of the 'amends' have made it extremely frustrating. Not sure if this is just me or if there are ways to remove these features but these 2 particular issues have had me wanting to throw the monitor out the window:

    1. Map Inspector - I scrolling around with right-click now puts 'map inspector' wherever you click, not only is this frustrating it also covers up key areas of what you are trying to look at and can't be closed. If I want to know the gradient change over the last two waypoints then great but don't force me to see this useless information at the expense of seeing the map!
    2. Zoom In - This one is just plain stupid, If I zoom out to get a wider picture of the route I'm planning I receive a constant HTTP Authentication message prompting me to zoom in to see my route. This overrides all navigation on the page and makes it impossible to view a larger route. I tend to do 30K+ hikes so a wider view is often essential.

I get that these are features that have been added to try and help people but please don't force them on people as they honestly make the whole user experience much worse.

    /Rant Over
