Thanks for that suggestion Leigh. There is an easier way to do this already though - you can see the distance from the start to any point on the route by dragging the position slider (above the map on the desktop route planner and click the slider icon below the map on the mobile route planner).  The distance to the end is the route length minus this. 

Hi I was thinking that a useful addition to the Map Inspector is if you were to right click on a point anywhere on the route, that Map Inspector would include the distance from the start "A" and the distance to the end "B" of the route. At the moment I either estimate the dist approximately using the markers on the route, or "Clear" the route but "Leave Route" and trace over it to the point where I need to know the distance, to or from.
