I can see premium route planner when I log in. But beside the map type, no streetview button. Logged in and out again on 2 different browsers but still no street view button.
Any help will be appreciated
Please see our announcement from earlier today about Map Provider Changes
I don't miss google maps, but using map inspector to access street view is definately a usabilty step backwards. As a cyclist, I'm making calls on using short but busy trunk routes vs longer back roads. Being able to get a instant feel for the road as you bulit a route was a cool feature i.e "oops, don't like the look of that segment ... undo !!".
Anything that makes me have to toggle between left/right mouse buttons is a hassle. If i then have to move the mouse pointer to pan the street view popup (as its not pointing in the right direction) .. then that's as user friendly as the proverbial cornered rat. I assume there is no (secure) way to keep the street view as a pop-up but have it update (looking in the right direction) whenever you click a new point whilst building a route ?
note: I'm being selfish, I use a PC browser and have no desire to create routes on a mobile. I appreciate that some mobile users may not care one jot about street view.
On the plus side, getting the OS maps in UK is a bonus. I'm tempted to look out my old hiking boots ...
We've made a few tweaks to the Street View link on the Map Inspector. It now takes account of the direction of your route, so that it points in the right direction. If you keep the Street View window open, it will also now update automatically when you inspect a new point of the map, without you having to click the Street View link again. We've also positioned the Steet View window at the side of your screen, to make it easier to resize your current window if you want to have both side by side. This is probably as close as we're going to get to how it worked before.
Props for responding so rapidly and making the tweaks, they go a very long way to resolving my gripes.
