downloaded gpx file corrupt?FORUMS HOME SEARCH FORUMS

I have downloaded my first route so I can use it on my Suunto9 watch.

Multiple programs say it is "corrupt or not a supported file type" (Suunto app, gpx viewer, movescount.com)

Please help.

I figured it out and thought I would post to help others...

if you are going to use a route for NAVIGATION, you need to download the gpx TRACK file, not the gpx route file.

Jon. Thanks so much for this post. I downloaded my first file from Plotaroute to Element to use on Wahoo Bolt. Confused why it was total rubbish and was trying to reroute me from the start. Looking at the toute on Element it was going point to point and not keeping to roads.  V helpful.

I had downloaded the'route' file version. Having redone it i with the track version  all OK. I'm sure there are loads more mistakes to make, but thanks for posting
