I see, yes route collections aren't really designed for that I'm afraid. You can add tags to routes when you save them  (e.g. local, audax, etc) but at present tags are all private, so only you would be able to use these filters. We'd be interested in developing more features for clubs thiough, so if you have any thoughts on what would be useful I'd be very interested to hear them.

Thanks - found and understood.

Unfortunately the very last line of the instructions removes my need to create collections. I wanted to create a filter to enable club members to select routes of particular interest to them -  some like short local rides, others the 150k to 600k Audax ones. 

We do already have a "how to" article for creating route collections that you may not have seen.  Have a look at this Ron and see if this helps, if not let me know where things aren't clear and we can add further detail to the article.
