Popular Routes
I have downloaded as gpx and then uploaded to my elemnt app many times in the past. But starting yesterday, when I try to upload to elemnt app I get a message saying " import failed: bad gpx/tpx file". I've tried everything on the elemnt app, including uninstalling and reinstalling. I then opened a komoot account and it won't upload my plotaroute created gpx files. Is there something that has changed recently with the download gpx function on plotaroute that may be causing this?
Thanks.
Hi Dirk - we haven't made any changes to our download process recently, so I suspect it is a problem with the particular route you are trying to download. Have you got any unusual chracters in the directions or labels text? These could potentially be causing the problem.
John
I've recently encountered a problem downloading GPX files to the Elemnt app from your website, as has a friend of mine, which only seems to have happened over the past 4/5 days. I was wondering if you were aware of any problems at your end - I would point out there is no problem with TCX files or downloading GPX files from your mobile site. Thanks, Anthony.
Hi Anthony - we haven't changed anything with our route downloads recently, so I think the problem must be with the Elemnt app. Have you tried contacting Wahoo about it? I suspect they may already be aware of the issue, buit its worth flagging it up to them.
Hi, thanks for the reply. I got in contact with Wahoo first and they asked me do download a GPX file from another "route planner" and I had no problem downloading from Strava. Wahoo seemed to think the problem might be with yourselves, but as long as I can download TCX files or GPX files from your mobile site to the Elemnt app then I am not too concerned. Thanks again for your help, Anthony.
Hi Anthony,
We can certainly look into it further, but we definitely haven't changed anything at our end recently with regard to route downloads, so it seems odd that it has only stopped working for you in the last few days. Can you share what download settings you are using please? And can you share the file that works OK? If it's available by a link you can share it on here but if not you can send it to us via our Contact Us page. Thanks.
