We are pleased to announce that you can now download routes from plotaroute.com directly to Garmin FIT files.

The FIT file format is used by many of the newer Garmin devices and offers a faster way to import routes to your device, as FIT files tend to be smaller than the alternative TCX format. Some devices also require this format for importing routes. At present this is a BETA feature, so if you come across any issues with it, please feed this back to us.

We'd like to extend a huge thank you to Dominick McIntyre for his help with developing this new feature.
