POI on the mapFORUMS HOME SEARCH FORUMS

The labels are a custom feature of plotaroute.com and are not recognised by GPS devices.  So, if you want to use navigation alert features on your GPS device you would need to add something in the directions.

I am aware of the labels  etc.  I am doing that already.  My question is could audible warnings like on turns be added to POI when you are arriving at them.

You can add labels in the directions panel - click the Add/Edit button in the directions panel, drag the marker on the map to where you want the label to be, then enter the label text and choose the label position.  You can choose a symbol if you like too - I think there is one suitable for a pub!

Please could you share how to add POI or labels to a route?

I have drawn a route for example, I would like to add a marker on the map for where the pub is :)

If you've addeded the POI as a label this wont be displayed on your device as this is something that we've developed for our site only.  The device will only display text you have put in the directions.

I have learnt how to add POI to my map.

When I got to my POI I expected the screen to become large and announce the POI as it does with turns.  But nothing happened.  The screen on my Garmin Touring is small and a POI coud easily be missed, especially in the dark.

Is there a way you can make POIs have bells and whistles like the turns?
