Popular Routes
just joined up, excellent site and good route planner.
can you make it so we can add friends by email to share private routes ie from home address we don't want public.
Hi Phil - thanks for your kind feedback about the site. And also for your suggestion about sharing Private routes with selected friends only. I'll add this to our feature request list. We're working on some related changes to the site at present so may be able to build this in with these changes.
John
I'm pleased to say that we've now implemented this as part of today's changes. You can now opt to share private routes with people you follow on the site if you wish, thereby giving you a way of sharing some routes only with certain people.
To follow someone add them to your "Following" list on your personal home page or follow them from their profile page. To give people you are following access to your private routes tick the relevant box on your My Account page.
Thanks a lot john, look forward to trying it out
Hello
Can you add freinds on this so you can see how your freinds are getting on with excercise.
If not, could you allow this to happen.
Hi Lyle,
You can follow friends and receive notifications when they create and update content on the site. To do this search for their name using the universal search box at the top of the page and select the correct person from the list. This will take you to their User Profile page where you will see a "Follow" button.
Thanks John.
Is it possible that u update Ploraroute so we can set targets and recieve email notifications when we have reached (e.g 5k, 10k, 20k)
Kind Regards
I'm afraid plotaroute.com isn't really designed for exercise tracking, its focus is plotting and sharing routes. Adding exercise tracking would involve a major redevelopment of the site and is not really something we would want to consider, as we wouldn't be able to offer anything better than already exists elsewhere.
Okay.
Do you know any other website the does this.
Lyle ... here's a bunch to check out.
I've not looked at any of them for years so any of them might do what you want for all I know ...
Lyle - one more thing ... I use Endomondo to keep track of how many miles I do a month.
I use the free version. It's on my phone so keeps a record of mileage.
I also use the website and it shows me statistics by the month (or week, year etc)
It doesn't send me an email, but I really don't need an email as I can see how many miles I've done that month both on the phone and on the website.
When I was looking a apps 2 or 3 years ago, I picked Endomondo as the app and website are simple, clear and did all I needed just using the free version, so it might be a good one for you to look at.
Good luck
That would be good but it's blocked on my laptop.
Have you got any other good websites. I really want a better website that you can c how many miles uve done a day, month, and year.
Thanks for your help.
Lyle
Day, Week, Month, Year is all available clicking the mouse from one to another.
If I were you, I'd find out why it doesn't run on your laptop ...
I could try on the other computer, but do i just go on it when i have been for a walk, cycle...
Hope this makes sense
