    That's one for Garmin I think Steve, unless anyone else can offer any advice?

    I am going wild camping up in the highlands of Scotland and will not have access to electricity to charge my Garmin.

    I have downloaded the routes onto the Garmin but want to try and save battery power.

    Is there a way I can make the device operate only when I reach a turning point and then let it close down again straight after?
