It is now even easier to plot your bike routes with our route planner.

Following suggestions on our forum we've now added a "BY BIKE" option to our Auto Plot feature. The Auto Plot feature avoids the need to plot every single point along your route - you just need to plot points at intervals along the route and the route planner will work out the detailed route between each point you plot based on the Auto-Plot option you selected; By Road, On Foot or now By Bike. The new 'By Bike' option will enable you to auto plot on paths that are deemed suitable for bikes by the mapping providers we use and also to auto plot on roads, taking into account known bike paths and the direction of traffic where appropriate (e.g. one-way streets and roundabouts).

You can also highlight bike paths on the map by ticking the Bike Paths tick box shown below. To display a key to the bike path highlighting, click on the bike symbol next to the tick box.

This is an excellent addition and facility to what is already an outstanding program. Without doubt, plotaroute is an absolute boon for all cyclists.
