Miners Tracks And Tramways

The walks start from the car park at the rear of the Spencer's Arms, heads through the village and along field tracks to Cawthorne Lane, after a short stretch of road walking the route heads eventually towards Barnby Furnace, follows Silkstone Beck.
The shorter version goes via and Lower Norcroft Farm, returning via Banks Hall, Bentcliffe Lane and Hill House Farm, finally meandering through Cawthorne village to the start.
The longer version contiues to follow Silkstone Beck to Silkstone. There is a convenient lunch stop at Silkstone United Cricket Club before the walk heads back to the start via Delph House and Whin Moor. This version does have a few more ups and downs than the sorter version.
