Departs from The Brick Works, through the Don River Valley Park staying left and going by the ponds*, up the paved path to the footbridge, north (right) along the Moore Park Ravine Beltline Trail. Turn around below the Heath Street footbridge, continuing back along the Belt Line, past the DRV Park and Brick Works, continuing along by Bayview Avenue (separated by a guardrail) for a short distance, down the hill and curving right, going by Milkmen's Lane to Park Drive Reservation trail (a closed road), to Mount Pleasant Rd. Turning around here. Proceed back along the route, past Milkmen's Lane, along the Belt Line to the Weston Quarry Garden** paved ramp, down the ramp, returning to The Brick Works.
This route is accessible to everyone. It is mainly light trail with a few small inclines that are accessible to all. There is a gravel section and a gradual incline along the Park Drive Reservation trail portion. A small section there has no tree canopy coverage but overall this route is fully shaded by tree canopy.
*a section near the ponds is under renovation by the City for trail and watershed improvements and future addition of more boardwalk. As of May-June 2019, it is still not complete but the barrier fencing has been set aside by the City to allow citizens access for the time being.
** On the return, coming back through the section near Bayview, one can go right, down the path that borders the enclosed off leash dog park. I tend to continue along the Belt Line straight ahead and take the Quarry Garden ramp, avoiding that right most path to the Brick Works because it exits at the parking lots. It is not fun to conclude a trail run trying to negotiate parking lot traffic.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
