RoadJet UK-Russia Motorhome Express Route!
After catching the Eurotunnel car-carrying shuttle train through the Channel Tunnel to France, the route sweeps round in a grand curve after cutting across Champagne country and Alsace & Lorraine to Strasbourg. Almost straight upon departing Strasbourg, the route crosses the River Rhine, leaving France behind and heading up into the highlands of southern Germany and rural Bavaria's epic countryside scenery. It then stops at Salzburg, tucked cosily into the western corner of north Austria, before climbing up into the beautiful majestic snow-capped mountain peaks of the mighty Alps, not forgetting to pay a visit to the magnificent fortress at Werfen along the way.
Ahead is the majestic heart-in-mouth Grossglockner Road, where the route spectacularly traverses the mighty Grossglockner - the highest mountain in Austria - swinging giddily around 36 switchbacks, passing jewel-coloured lakes, forested slopes and wondrous glaciers. At the end of this wonderful mountain road it swings right again and heading up into Vienna, Austria's beautiful capital city - well worth a short stopover!
After heading along the river Danube to Budapest in Hungary, it heads via Slovakia into stylish Warsaw, Poland's capital city for a few days. After crossing the river Bug into Brest across the Polish border from Terespol, it races through the heart of Belarus before crossing the border into Russia and finishing in Moscow for a few days before heading back home again at the end of a really pleasant adventure!
