This is a big European road trip that winds its way down through the most beautiful countries that Europe has to offer, then heads back up through Central Europe, northern Germany and Benelux before taking the sea route back to England. After leaving the UK behind in the Eurotunnel shuttle train, it winds it way down through northern France to Paris, then it delves down into the rich snowy mountainous landscapes of the Alps to Milan in northern Italy. It then crosses Switzerland and Germany with a side trip to Newschanstein Castle and Hohenschwangau. It then drops downward through the mountains of Austria and down by the pretty River Sava through Slovenia into Zagreb in Croatia and heading down the coast to Zadar and Split. Afterwards, it leaves the Croatian landscapes behind and heads north into Berlin, with stopovers in Budapest, Vienna, Prague and Dresden. It then skirts the coast into Hamburg and the north German coast, then heads down into Amsterdam and Brussels, land of the Dutch-speaking colonies. It then takes the ferry from Dunkerque to Dover for us to head back home again.
