One of the best road cycling routes in the area and accessible from many places including Nuneaton, Bedworth, Kingsbury, Atherstone, Coleshill, Corley and Keresley. It is mostly signposted with brown (and occasionally blue) signs if you ride this route in the counter clockwise direction. The route goes through Kingsbury water park via a back entrance. If you want to avoid the pedestrian traffic in the water park you can go down the A4097. Although an A road its plenty wide enough and a fairly short stretch as long as your confident cycling with traffic.

Enjoy the climb that is Green End Road. For an excellent real ale pub try the Church End Brewery on Ridge Lane (only open weekends and no food), or take a detour to the Lord Nelson in Ansley (open all day, good food, but nowhere to easily lock up your bike).

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
