The second day starts with a steady climb up to the ski village of Val d’Isère. The road continues to rise up at a steady grade to the second highest point of the week, the Col de l’Iseran at 2,764m. From there, starts a more than 2000m descent, first steep descending and then lots of group descending all the way down to the village of Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne. Then a last surprisingly difficult climb of the Col du Télégraphe before a short descent into Valloire
