Starting at the Market Ground go up Mossley Road turning right along side of the Billy Goat. Take the lower path and continuing until you reach the old brick works. Turn right and follow the path across Lees Road and go up the field, down the other side crossing Quickedge road. Go directly down the field following the path on Strawberry Lane. Turn left and again left up Quick Road until you reach the farm on the right. Go through the farm passing through the smaller gate. Continue until you reach the stables and go diagonally across the field. Follow the path down to Stockport Road and turn left. Pass through the wall at the footpath sign and go diagonally right down the field. Pass through the gate and follow the path around to Armit Road. At the school turn right crossing the canal at the lock and turn right to go along the canal towards Mossley. Turn left at the first bridge to go up Calf Lane, cross Manchester Road and go up Shadows Lane. Continue across the bridle path, cross Huddersfield Road straight across up Shadworth Lane. When you reach the top turn right going along the roman road until you reach the houses. Turn right down Howards Lane, left along Huddersfield Road take the path on the right that bring you along side the houses. Follow the path close to the houses through the gate down to the bridle path. Go across the bridle path down to the canal continue through Three counties coming out at the traffic lights at the bottom of Mill Lane. Go up the steps at the bottom of Mill Lane bringing you out onto Stamford Road. Cross the road onto Hanover Street, turn right up Mountain Street finishing at the market ground.
