This one is hard to beat for SW wind to be fair and a toughie, aimed at loads of small hills and a hard dash on a fresh legs day for SW winds hence, anti-clockwise. So the start is very favourable for SW wind, all the way up to 20 miles really.
Not intended as cafe route but Cafe in Tarporley if needed.
This route does mean that there is an easier start than the reverse version and Harthill early 🤪
The reason this route is so good for SW wind is the protection from the worst of it in the first 6 miles, you really don’t get much as it is mostly up hill.
So it depends on how hard I go to Tarporley, on how hard the winds feel for the next 6 miles, but the last uphill bit to Pheasent inn is well protected from the cross wind

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
