Park at one of the small car parks at the far-side of Kingston Lacy on the Badbury Rings Road. It's a 1k walk/jog to the start. Start from the junction with Pitts Drove (marked as no public access). Running to the North-East follow the main track as it winds until you hit a junction after 1k (the dung heap - which isn't a dung heap anymore!). Turn left. At the bottom of the hill peel left. Up and down the hill the route then turns 90 degrees left just after half way. Back up the track over the top and down past the farm. Shortly after the farm at a crooked crossroads turn left up a short hill and then you have 1k or more downhill to the finish. One of the hilliest but worth it and no gates.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
