Dovestones Circular
A gentle start from the car park at Dovestone Reservoir past the sailing club and following the track towards Yeoman Hey Reservoir dam wall. An option at this point is to cross the dam wall and return to the car park via the track along the opposite bank of the reservoir. A distance of around 2.77 miles. A longer version is to follow the track alongside Yeoman Hey Reservoir to the dam wall of Greenfield Reservoir, returning along the opposite banks of Yeoman Hey and Dovestone Reservoirs back to the car park.
The walk is along mainly good tracks but the longer walk does go along a more uneven and possibly boggy track towards Greenfield Reservoir so good footware is essential.
