LEJOG route for the boys & my return of course. I will lead them through to the Silver Jubilee bridge that gets them across the river Mersey.
This route is the shortest with the least hills, but still using Johns original route to Frodsham, as I can’t really improve on it without extending the height & distance.
to get the LEJOG boys to the Silver Jubilee bridge, which is the only cycling route across the river Mersey.
The section all the way to Frodsham is the same as John plotted, as I can’t really make it any better without adding height and length.
The bit through Runcorn, to get around the night mare roundabouts of the M56, is my add in, as Johns was using all the cycleways around the M56 and it looked problematic. My route via Beachwood road is simple and straight through on roads, although it adds 1 mile to distance.
Beachwood road leads straight into the roundabout on the Silver Jubilee bridge, where I will leave them. My return is the same, through Beachwood road, just for ease, although I take a slight detour around the west of Runcorn, hopefully for the views ( only half mile more)
Then straight through Frodsham high street , 1 so I can stop at railway station cafe ( 30 miles),which looks good. And 2, to keep the climbing to a minimum. Would prefer to go up and over Frodsham hill, but we do that on the way to Runcorn, so I just want to get home hence, to keep miles down, I have to do 1 mile on the A56 to Tarvin and home.
There are options for water & other cafe’s in Frodsham hence, another reason for passing through the high street, as it will be late.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
