Letchworth RFU Sponsored Walk

Pre start Information

Registration will open at 9:30am the start time is 10am. All walkers must have started by 10:30am. The walk is approx. 7 miles and is anticipated to take between 2hrs 45mins and 3hrs 30mins. All walkers should complete the walk by 2pm.

All walkers must register with the starters before they leave the club and when they return, additionally all walkers are required to check in at the 'Refreshment Stop'.

All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent / guardian at all times. Parents must ensure children under their supervision are suitably dressed for the weather and have sufficient water. All walkers should have suitable footwear / plasters / waterproofs / rain coats / sun cream / sunglasses / sun hat weather depending.

Please note there are no toilets available on the walk so we advise all walkers to take a comfort break before leaving.

First Aiders will be stationed at the start / finish and the refreshment stop.

In case of emergency/injury please call 999 and advise the event organisers when its safe / appropriate to do so.


The Walk

The walk is approx. 7 miles taking in a lovely, scenic loop of the Weston Hills. The route will be signed marked with directional arrows.

There are no marshals on the walk so please take care when crossing all roads and always use the designated road crossing points where available. The designated crossing points are on London Road (pelican crossing), South Road (zebra crossing) and High Street (pelican crossing).

There will be a tail walker following the last walkers collecting the signs, therefore please stick the route at all times, if you get lost call the event organisers.
