CER-Meadow Lea To Cock O Barton Via CP!

This club ride is aimed at visiting the Cock ‘O’ Barton or option to go next door to Manorwood cafe, only 500 mtrs after the Cock ‘O’ Barton, down the lane.
However, this is a special. Route, through my actual golf club, which I have never done let alone the club and we only have to use 100 mtrs of the Nantwich / Wrexham road.
The route is Not ideal for winter, but can’t make it much better to be fair. The only real bit that can be iffy is couple of miles between A41 to CP entrance, although good quality lanes, but these couple of lanes . The bit down to Stretton Mill & Wetreins lane is the other sometimes muddy bit, although not known them to flood, so it is better than Holywell lane, which is always bad. Make a change as well.
We could of course short cut CP & go half mile down the Wrexham road straight to the Cock ‘O’ Barton, which would knock off 2 miles.
The ride is aimed at the best lanes from a condition and known for being clean and flood free in general. The only problem can be after crossing the A 41 at Tattenhall, as we have to take the lesser of the evils in winter. Normally I would go up through Carden Park however, Holywell lane can often flood hence, the plotted route as mentioned.
Turning right under the old railway to Cuddington and then the unusual change, left to Carden Park, along Mill Lane.
This is the flattest easiest route as well,as the bit through CP is a joy.
The return ride is therefore only 15 miles via Wetreins lane & Farndon, which also means a tailwind all the way to Meadow Lea, if the wind is the usual South / South Westerly.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
