fixed bog and burn not track. avoid core path with caution flag (also through bog and beside burn). fixed to roads in Atool village. fixed meander through wood and field instead of one field = core path just S of Atool.
Didn't fix QUARRY

Fixed bit through Auchtertool Village.
Fixed bit between A909 and road just before Atool. As the E end of the dismantled line was actually the line of a burn running through a boggy wetland. Not a track.
Fixed bit just south of Atool where route didn't follow field edge but jumped over hedge and took shortcut through woods. Local walk guide website suggests there are intimidating signs in this area so sensible to stick to core paths, even if same website says there is no actual path for that short section

Didn't fix fact that route follows track going into a quarry around the edge and out the other side. Current aerial views, Google, Bing, suggest it is still physically possible, but would they let you? (could they stop you?) According to Strava no-one runs that route. There is a big white block of land around it where no one goes. Seems foolhardy to plan a Slow Way along quarry road which will likely become inaccessible even if usable now.

I think there is a better \shorter route but it is significantly different. Doesn't go to Atool at all - pub there closed in 2018 anyway so not a obv breakpoint anymore (was symbol still on OS map hence route convergence. i found this was the case in Wales and County Durham.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
