CER- Chirk To The Two Doves Cafe & The Aqueduct

This is an interesting route of narrow lanes and as many river crossings as I could get in. Strictly a dry summer route & a cracker, due to some tricky short steep bits, that are proper farm lanes with gravel and crap, but just on the loop down to the river and back up ( at 8 mile point) which can be removed for a shorter and less climbing ride, by turning right, just after 8 miles in to Glynmorlas lane and head straight up to the main road, although you could cut the whole loop out, down to the river and ride the main road m which is an ok B road to be fair, especially If the weather was at all wet the week before then it may be wise to cut out this loop hence, why it comes back to where it starts in order to make a change easy.

We pass by the Boat Inn pub at Erbistock, by not heading down to the pub and turning right just a few hundred mtrs before ( however, definately is an unbelievable location on the river)
The cafe destination is the Two Doves in Overton at 22 miles.
This is a climbing route of 3000feet and as flat as I could make it as everywhere is hilly west of Chirk.

I have another route via Panorama walk and Llangollen, as it is fabulous cycling. Cafe in Llangollen and Fouzi’s cafe / restaurant , which is fab in Rossett.
