This one is specifically tricked up for CER. It’s a fab 40 mile route ( 21 to Staples cafe in Plaseey) and beyond. I have various versions of this,
Virtually the same up until the detour to Marford via Borras hill in order to get Griffin lane in , but more importantly, Springfield lane and then back up Marford hill half way to Hoseley lane back to Borras and Holt. The loop to Marford means I can make this ride 35 miles, by cutting the loop out, if the group is feeling tired or even me as I have anything between 15 & 18 miles on top to get there and back.
This route deliberately avoids the bit of lane to The Boat Inn, by turning right before the pub. This reduces the climbing by a fraction and half mile less.
The reason being I use the pub as a ride from Alison’s by using my MG version of 49 miles.

Springfield lane is only good after a long dry spell, as there are always puddles, so in winter I tend to shorten the route by a mile and use Marford hill and Hrsely lane.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
