New Denver To Retallick Wagon Route
I rode it in a Saturday morning at 8:45. It’s so windy and hilly that vehicles can’t drive very fast on it. You could go really early morning but the sun won’t be that high in the sky, and you do want the sunshine in the valley.
The road is lightly trafficked, in good condition, and is framed by mountain ranges with snow capped peaks. It is bordered in some parts by creeks and lakes on either side. In early July you’ll also have wild lupins and other wildflowers lining the roadsides.
If you don’t mind a climb, this route is not to be missed!
