This is a bit different, anticlockwise and a real cracker for a sunny light winds day.
it is also pretty dam good after bad weather or in winter, taking in a few less used but nice lanes and almost to Cheshire Oaks. Only draw back is the 1 mile stretch on the A 5117 , which is not that bad to be fair, as it is slightly down hill as it is anticlockwise route ( only way around the dead area of land, between Meadow Lea and Manley Mere, with out back tracking.)

This route is very versatile, as it meanders around the Cheshire flats & passes close to nearly all my favourite cafe’s with only a small detour to most, some are on route & mentioned below.
This skirts Chester zoo, but avoids the terrible Chorlton lane that joins Rake lane, which is a good lane , but can’t use it as Chorlton lane is awfully potholed mess hence, we turn back from Cheshire Oaks right on the motorway junction. These are the best of lanes around the Zoo area through trial and error.

This route has various cafe options with minor deviations, although on this exact route the 1st is Meadow Lea at 32 miles, but it is a flat route so only a bit of a stretch if winter and cold. Otherwise this is a great route for sunny day as it is fairly open and no Greenway

I will save this one to Garmin as route 022 ? Perhaps call it ChesOaks ( so you can read title on Garmin)

it would be easy to shorten for winter and go to either the Blue Bell or Meadow Lea cafe without taking in Cheshire Oaks loop

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
